With over 16 years of experience in the retirement plan industry, Mayling has developed comprehensive expertise spanning plan documentation, implementation, compliance, and administration. She began her career in the legal department of a third-party administration firm, drafting new plan documents, preparing IRS-required restatements and amendments, coordinating audit preparation, and ensuring regulatory compliance. She later led plan implementations, takeovers, terminations and overseeing conversion process to ensure smooth and efficient transitions for plan sponsors.
Expanding into plan administration, Mayling has prepared valuation reports, performed compliance testing, and completed annual tax filings. This well-rounded background provides her with an understanding of retirement plan operations from every angle.
As a member of the Retirement Plan Consulting Division, she is known for her detail-oriented approach, strong procedural mindset, and ability to solve complex challenges with practical, effective solutions. She holds the Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA) designation reflecting her technical knowledge and commitment to professional excellence.
Outside of work, Mayling is a proud and devoted aunt to three nephews. She spends much of her free time attending their school and sporting events and takes great pride in being an active and present influence in their lives. She also enjoys volunteering at her church and giving back to her community.
